The Cottage Session

I’m so excited to post this amazing boudoir session that was shot at the cutest little cobblestone cottage just outside of Harrison, AR.  Misty had contacted me a few months ago to arrange the session as part of a birthday surprise for her boyfriend of eight years.  She’ll be presenting him with the photos when she takes him back to the cottage soon for a weekend getaway!

There was so much thought and preparation put into this session.  Misty’s hair and makeup was beautifully done, cute outfits were carefully chosen, and lots of little details of significance to the couple were integrated into the photos.  Plus, Misty’s mom was there during the session helping out where ever needed.  It was a fun afternoon, and I can’t wait to hear all about the boyfriend’s reaction when he sees the pics!

Simply gorgeous! The cottage had so much character.  I love this old fashion radio. The house was completely remodeled, and they had lined the shower with corrugated tin…made for some cool photos. To get the overhead shot of Misty in the cast iron bathtub, I had to stand on a chair inside the shower and shoot down over the wall.  Turned out to be one of my favorite images.  Beautiful smile! I <3 quirky… There was perfect natural light to work with at this location….  I was in photographer heaven!  Love this detail shot…stars!  And cowboy boots just happen to be one of my most favorite things ever.  :-) Misty even brought along a birthday cake with cherry’s on top and had a matching outfit with cherries!  Seriously, Misty, you have raised the bar for every other girlfriend/wife out there…lol.  Thanks so much for such an amazing session!
