As many of you know, one of the most popular photo booth props these days are mustaches on sticks. So this weekend I tried making some myself using a few craft materials I already had on hand. It was pretty easy, and they turned out super cute. So I thought I would share a quick DIY (do-it-yourself) post.

DIY: How to Make Mustaches on Sticks Photo Booth Props
Materials Needed: X-acto knife, cutting mat, wooden rods, craft foam sheets (available in different shades of brown/black), hot glue gun, mustache template
Step One: Download and print this template of five different mustache designs.
Step Two: Cut out the mustaches. Lay them on a foam piece and trace around it using the X-acto knife. I used the blade to just score the foam at first, and then went back over it a second time to cut all the way through the foam.
Step Three: Use the hot glue gun to adhere the wooden rod to one side of the mustache. Press firmly and hold for a few seconds until the glue sets.
And below are a few pics from a photo booth setup I was testing for a vintage-inspired wedding I’ll be shooting in a couple of weeks. In case you didn’t know, a reception photo booth is a standard add-on I offer with all wedding photography packages. The photo booth is a ton of fun for guests, and I’ve got lots of different props to bring out the goofiness in everyone….silly hats, masks, chalk board speech bubbles, feather boas, over-sized sunglasses, and now crazy mustaches on sticks. :)
