Meet 4-day Old Baby Mason

Mason arrived at 3:38 pm, weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 20 inches long.  He was 4 days old when these pictures were taken at the family’s home.  (FYI – newborn photo sessions are best done in the baby’s first two weeks.)

I think the shot below is my favorite from the session.  The family just recently moved into a brand new home only days before Mason was born.  There was a lot of stress about whether or not the house would be finished in time before the baby got here, but everything ended up going smoothly…meant to be.  :-)  This blue wall made a perfect background for this baby boy.

During his nearly 3-hour photo session, Baby Mason gave us one teeny grin.  It was there out of the blue and lasted only an instant.  I don’t think I’ve ever had to snapped a photo so fast, but I got the shot!  Baby Mason smiled and Mom Sara and I squealed…

I’m super excited because I just found some really terrific new props for my infant photography, specifically newborns. I just couldn’t wait to share them with you all! They’re sooo cute, and I’m really looking forward to using these props in some upcoming sessions.
