Custom ProPhoto Blog+Site

Here’s another custom prophoto blog+site project we recently completed. This web design was created for Gina Brocker. She will soon be relocating from Ireland to Boston and wanted a new web presence as she makes the transition. View the screenshots below and see it live at http://ginabrocker.com/.

Color Theory :: Turquoise

Welcome to the first post of my new blog series, Color Theory! Color theory is the study of color and its role in art and design. Essentially it is the human psychological response to colors. Starting today, there will be a new color theory posted each week, along with images representing the color. Representing the color are cute finds found on etsy.com. Source links are found below the image.

The color of the week is turquoise! Turquoise creates emotional balance and stability. It radiates the peace, calm and tranquility of blue and the balance of green with the energy of yellow. Turquoise allows for clear thinking and affective decision-making.

Found on Etsy: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

ProPhoto Blog :: Splash Page

I was going back through my archives this afternoon and found this lovely site we did last year but never blogged! I had to share because it’s actually one of my favorites. The project included a custom ProPhoto blog design, some printed promo cards, and a website splash page (below). Check it out live at http://www.seedsphotography.com.au/

Logo Design :: Branding Strategy

Kind words from our client, Nicki Ahrens, regarding the logo and branding strategy we recently created for her…

“I love it!!!!!! Wish I could give you a hug for the work that you did. I could not have been more pleased and thrilled with what you have done. I have learned so much about myself as a photographer and what my focus is and what it needs to be as I grow in my business.”

Custom ProPhoto Blog+Site

I’m excited to share a project today that we recently completed for Misti White Photography. Misti wanted a custom ProPhoto blog+site design that was clean and fresh with a natural, organic feel. View the site live at http://mistiwhitephotography.com/ and check out the client interview below:

Please tell us a little about yourself and your business.
I love being a wife and mother. I kind of fell into photography; it started out as a passion and hobby while I was teaching (I was an English teacher for 13 years), and just grew. When we moved to the family ranch a year and a half ago, my husband and I made the decision for me to stay home and pursue photography more. My first loves are newborn photography and high school senior photography with an emphasis on the whole experience of the session from initial contact all the way through product design and delivery, so I operate on a boutique experience. I’m always looking for ways to make my session experiences the best.

What do you think of your new web design?
SQUEAL!! (in a really high pitched, in love tone) I am IN LOVE. I mean, head-over-heels adore this. From the very beginning, I’ve known that my web site was the first impression many would have, and I’ve yearned to have that impression be “just right.” Tiffany captured Misti White Photography perfectly!

Please describe your experience working with Tiffany.
Perfect. For real, perfect experience. Honestly, I’ve heard nothing but horror stories about working with designers. From my first contact with Tiffany, through my questions (I wanted to make sure on my investment), through design mock ups, adjustments to the designs, all the way to our conversation at follow up, PERFECT. Tiffany was right on her deadlines, even early, and was just a dream to work with.

What are your future plans for Misti White Photography?
My biggest hope for the future is to take even better care of my clients – both those precious new ones, those high school seniors launching into adult life, the precious babies who return to see me for milestone sessions, and the amazing families I get to meet. I want to continue to create art – not just a quick snap with a picture.

“I asked a client this week how she found me. “Through Google. As soon as I saw your site and your work, I KNEW you were the photographer for me and that I had to figure out how to make it happen.” Tiffany, THAT is the reason I’ve always dreamed of a custom designed site, and YOU made that happen for me. You took my ramblings of ideas and put them together to capture Misti White Photography.” – Misti

WPPI Photography Expo Las Vegas

This past week I had the pleasure of attending the WPPI photography expo in Las Vegas again. It’s always a fun and exciting trip with LOTS of information and learning. A few iphone snapshots from our adventure below…

ROW ONE: The obligatory “We’re on the plane!” photo. We stayed at New York, New York this year.

ROW TWO: Picked up some great tips from Bambi Cantrell. Miller’s and Photobarn had my two favorite booth setups. Paris on the strip.

ROW THREE: The famous Bellagio fountain show. The sparkly interior of the Cosmopolitan. A jellybean Statue of Liberty (why not…) The canal inside the Venetian.

ROW FOUR: The Venetian’s beautiful ceiling. My favorite WPPI purchase – an Unfind bag. Best free WPPI tradeshow swag – this cute tote from Galleree. Headed home.

ProPhoto Blog+Site

Not only do we work with a lot of photographers here at Tiffany Kelley Design, we also work with our fair share of other wedding industry professionals. Today’s post features a project we completed last month for Chicago-based florist Cori Moss. Our task was to create a custom ProPhoto 4 blog+site design that would be minimalist, classic, and elegant. It also needed a neutral color palette so that Cori’s beautiful floral designs and their gorgeous range of colors took center stage.

A couple of my favorite things about this project was how the site’s background images (existing elements of Cori’s branding) frame the site and also the dynamic contact form we created, which allows users to decide if they want to just send a quick inquiry or complete the detailed bridal questionnaire. Check it out live online here - http://www.mossfinefloralblog.com/
