Wilson Wedding

A while back I had the great honor of photographing Megan and Dick’s wedding in Springfield, MO.  The small, intimate ceremony was held at a beautiful lakeside park, which was adorned with gorgeous fall colors and even deer nonchalantly grazing in the distance.  The couple’s closest family and friends were in attendance, and I was able to capture so many touching moments….the kind of wonderful moments that are so often only seen at these smaller events, and in my opinion, makes the occassion all the more special.  Megan and Dick, thank you again for allowing me to photograph your wedding day.  I wish you both all the best. :)

Everyone getting ready at the home of a friend of the family. The handsome groom awaiting his bride.Spotted Megan practicing her vows during a moment alone right before the ceremony.A lovely ceremony, which included words from both the bride and groom’s mothers.Such a gorgeous day!  The deer were just over the hillside during the entire wedding. You may kiss the bride!Beautiful mother and daughter.

A very proud father. :)Groom and his lovely family.

When was this wedding? I want a fall wedding but I am not sure what month is the best for the trees.

This was during the first week of November in Springfield. There were still a few pretty leaves, as you can see. However, peak fall colors were probably best at the end of October.
