Jen & Jay :: Branson Wedding Photographer

I’m so excited to share Jen and Jay’s engagement session today! We photographed this session at Jay’s family farm, and I was in photographer heaven. It was such a beautiful setting! Thank you to Jay’s wonderful family for being so welcoming and helpful during the shoot. A preview of the images from the session below. Enjoy!

Professional Wedding Photography & Albums

Recently I stumbled upon two great Huffington Post articles that really sum up my feelings about weddings and product orders…

In the first article, the author talks about her parents’ wedding album, and the options that wedding clients (and photography clients in general) have today. She makes a good point that I really try to stress to all of my clients….the importance of having a tangible heirloom like an album.

Yes, purchasing a disc of images is great, but nothing compares to actually holding your photos in your hands. Plus, technological advances are making so many types of digital storage obsolete. Certain computers don’t even have CD drives now!

The handmade albums I offer to my clients are work of art on their own. They are classic, and more importantly, timeless. It is definitely a purchase you will not regret. This quote from the article really does put it perfectly: “You cared enough about these moments to hire a professional to photograph them. Follow that through by having them design you a high-quality wedding album that you will cherish for decades.” If you’re on the fence about whether or not to invest in an album, please read THIS.

The second article shows the results of a survey filled out by recent brides on what they would have done differently for their wedding. It came as no surprise to me that many had regrets about their photos. Over the years, I’ve heard this one over and over again from people wishing they had invested in having a professional capture their special day.

Something I always mention during my initial meeting with an engaged couple is that wedding photography is one of the few investments you’ll ever make that will truly last a lifetime. After your wedding, when the cake has been eaten and the flowers have wilted, your photos will be there forever reminding you of what was one of the most important days of your life. You, your children, and your children’s children will look at those images, and that is priceless…

Lucia :: Branson Newborn Photographer

Meet Lucia! I had the honor of photographing this sweet little baby girl a few weeks ago. We held the session at the client’s home, and shot a mix of lifestyle images in the nursery and did some posed newborn shots at the end. She’s so adorable!

Who’s Booking Boudoir Sessions & Why

A lot of my boudoir clients are booking a session as a surprise for their special someone. They plan to present their images (usually in one of our gorgeous albums) to their husband/fiancé/boyfriend as a gift. A lot are brides-to-be who are booking their session before their wedding. Others are booking in time for anniversaries, birthdays, Valentine’s Day, or Christmas, and some are booking sessions and sending their photos overseas to their loved one serving in the military.

Some are booking boudoir sessions “just because” and that’s incredible too! Just because they want to feel pretty, want to get dressed up, want to have a fun “girl’s day out” with their friends, want to have these pictures before they start having babies, want to have these pictures because they just had three kids, or just turned 40, or just got divorced, or just lost a lot of weight, or so on… Over the years, I’ve heard a lot of reasons for why my clients booked their boudoir sessions.

Why will you?
